The first step...

I am often asked if I have a website to disseminate information to people, the answer up to now has been no, but I guess it is time to change that.

The internet has been a wonderful resource for bereaved parents, but there are times when I feel like there is still something missing....too often what I see missing is giving people a place to discuss the spiritual aspects of loss...in our world, we are too afraid to lay claim to our Traditions lest we offend another...but I think we are misguided...I think that we CAN be true to ourselves and stand side by side others who are different and also being true to themselves. I use the example that Mother Theresa gave us...no one questioned that she was Catholic but she cared for and lived among those of various faiths and they respected each other. I never heard of anyone griping that Mother Theresa argued theology with them, she spoke her Gospel with her hands and her life.

So one of my goals is to create safe pockets on this blog where people of various faiths can share about their own stories and how thier faith traditions aided them. Like Mother Theresa, I am Roman Catholic (a born again, evangelical Roman Catholic, but that is for another day) and I make no apologies, but I want to provide resources for all.
